  1. This video perfectly articulates a concern I had trouble trying to put into words. As bad as Shallon is and as much damage as she is causing, what really makes me sad are the people further down the chain of causation who will end up hurt. Shallon's attitude has the potential to hurt new victims long after people stop paying attention to her. Pierre, keep up the great content.

  2. This goes to show how traumatized we are as a collective.
Abuse and manipulation have become a norm for too many people, and especially those who are not aware blindly re-enter the cycle of abuse. Be it as victim or perpetrator. It’s what many of us have come to see as ‘normal’. It is not, and it shouldn’t be because it is inherently toxic and thus unhealthy for the human psyche.
We need to have a conversation about this, we need to question when any form of media normalizes these behaviors and we need to take a good hard look at ourselves whenever we willingly accept such kind of statements.
This is not about cancel culture, and in my opinion this isn’t and shouldn’t be only about Shallon – however the conversation needs starting points. And Shallon and her followers make a grand example of this part that has become seriously twisted within our society.
We need to change and we won’t be able to unless we are willing to have this dialogue and be honest to ourselves and others.

  3. As someone that’s my share abused. And for a long time. From different people. Ones I thought that were close to me. People that should of taken care of me but failed me. It really becomes hard to trust in people. And from being gaslighted. It’s really hard to trust yourself sometimes. It’s a miserable existence. I feel like I’m going crazy. Something is wrong with me. I’m not supposed to be loved or happy. And it’s very confusing. Abuse is abuse. Regardless of who does it. Why they did it. I understand they could of had their trauma. But it doesn’t mean we can spread the trauma. And people like shallon who teach and speak this way will make trusting all that much harder. The blows that much deeper. And she’ll make people that are as wounded as me or more so believe this is how they can maintain control. No one will ever hurt them cause they will manipulate the other person to their liking. Etc. and all that will come of it will be a trail of broken people. It’ll be hard to grow and move on from. It’ll take time to recover. Who knows If these people could have a relationship in the future. And I also found it upsetting how hard it is to have a proper conversation about things. It’s important to talk. Express what you want need and have to share. The anxiety of expressing yourself thoughts and ideas so you may learn and share but instead get torn to pieces by people that think they know better. It’s not useful. At all. It prolongs progress. It slows recovery. It like the art of sharing ideas and having proper discourse died. And as it is we are already too much in our heads. Really now. We need to calm our anger and out egos and look at things at times objectively. Of the greats from our history were so temperamental and subjective. Nothing would of been done. Did MLK rage and scream when he wanted change. Did he tear the discourse and rob the opportunity for people to speak share and relate to the struggle. Did he silence the opposition cause it conflicted with his own. No. He calmly spoke his truth and his views and allowed the people among him to process his points and then develop their ideas on it. Ideas and knowledge were always a danger in history. Thats why they burned books or withheld the ability to read. But for ideas to spread. We neeeeeeeed to have discussions. Even for hard to talk about things. And you know sometimes it’s the people outside of a situation with the best solutions because they aren’t bogged down from the weight of the situation. It’s a non biased opinion. Those are very helpful and relevant. So over all I’m happy er are having these discussions. I hope they bring awareness so that a culture and a people we can stop being so toxic.

  4. #shallonlester is the epitome of the landscape in how shallow our society really is which is why people like me prefer animals over humans. I was always an extrovert and love meeting people but now am a converted introvert because I just cannot stand people anymore. Our society is sick and narcissistic! It’s scary that Shallon Lester stans even follow her and worships the ground she walks on. That just speaks volumes on our humanity as a whole and where we are heading going forward. Very, very, sad Pierre. Shallon Lester used to be an editor for the tabloids so it makes sense she is what she is but her actions and her words definitely carry the weight and she could be held accountable for the things she conveys. I love how you speak so eloquently on this subject. Thank you. New subbie here!

  5. I'm not even interested in relationships anymore. Being manipulated over the years caused me to look at things differently..
People haven't changed for me, they just changed how I see them..

  6. Thank you Pierre for speaking up on this, you are very fair in how you explain this topic, I truly appreciate your insight and I hope that others will see the positive points that you make🌹🌹🌹

  7. also another point that you made on relationships these days also has me thinking. I am also not that old yet and I have experienced nothing but pain from other partners, family, and friends alike. Its at the point that I am actually afraid of other people and would prefer to be alone than to be subjected to them. Maybe its my fault for the people I chose to hang around or something. But the way I am just tends to get me walked over and since my voice is the quietest no one listens. I really like that you speak up about these things because I feel stronger knowing that someone understands how I have felt my entire life.

  8. I started watching some of her videos last year and I’m just so happy that she is being called out. She’s the Regina George of YT lol

  9. What makes me a bit frustrated is that nobody said anything about the comments she made about Asians until shallon pester said it, like it took some of y’all this long to realize that was a very racist or racially ignorant thing to say?? The amount of times I’ve heard the “they all look the same” comment from friends, youtubers, the media?? Even the comments about how they look like girls!!
It also disgusts me on how she has literally called herself a predator and no one has done anything about it, imma just say it now, she is a p*do, I just feel it and this angers me because I was a victim myself, she needs to get help or sumn, why are we making these people successful I don’t understand

  10. Shallon reminds me of my mother. I cut off from her 30 years ago. One good thing for me, is this person Shallon does not trigger me ! So Yay 🤔 lol thanks you Richard Grannon and Pierre 👍

  11. I’ve known some women who say they’re feminists but then say things like, “let him pay”, “he should do that for you” etc. I don’t even label as a feminist but I know enough to realise that everyone should be equal. I’ve also seen women abuse men so bad, and men abuse women but both are equally as bad! No gender should be the “bad one”. Everyone should strive for equality and harmony. The fuck is so hard about this subject!

  12. ….even as of 9:30 ECT her channel is STILL intact albeit w/o an uploaded video. It looks like today it's now a recorded podcast w/ only a screenshot showing, for close to 30 min.

  13. I looked up to Shallon as a maternal figure for a while because she reminded me of my mother 😐
She's super paranoid and assuming and her tactics are violent

  14. As a person that use to enjoy her videos, even when i REALLY liked her, her advice almost always had an undertone of manipulation. I think she takes shelter in the idea that she’s self aware. She KNOWS the things that tick her, she knows her attributes and her shortcomings, so i think she uses this as a pretense to speak on the things she does AND the way she does. She sometimes does offer decent advice, and for me at least she placed certain things under a new perspective that i hadn’t thought of before, and led me too make realizations that helped me sort out some things i was dealing with. However, it really does have manipulation involved, or with a motive that IS NOT beneficial in the long run-especially when it comes to exes. Just to reiterate what you’ve said here, the problem does lie when people who really haven’t figured themselves out, regardless of age, go to her videos for relationship advice and take it as face value, unable to discern the things they should take and SHOULN’T take from it. Also her cattiness is just unpleasant. Hope she uses that self awareness to really reflect and make some changes.

  15. i have to say Pierre i have to disagree with one point starting at around 5 mins in about how men and women use manipulation. You said men typically use abuse tactics that are physical but my stepmother used to be very physical with me with her abuse and i have male partners that have been extremely manipulative without ever being physical. They used their charisma and word spaghetti to get what they wanted out of me. I don't think that point has a strong base.

  16. The whole YouTube community is hypocritical because Shallon Lester does this for years, everybody turns a blind eye and the minute she speaks her mind about korean idol groups at the top of the entertainment industry, suddenly everybody "discovers" her and jumps on her throat. Now that's what I call sell out… She might be no good but everyone else, don't pretend to not know. Because you did, why didn't you call her out earlier? Pathetic! The minute she started doing that you should stop her, but didn't see anyone moving…. Now, if this isn't for views, then what is….

  17. "Everybody is stepping on everyone's toes and no one is listening to one another" thank you,so grateful that someone said this!!!!!!!

  18. I'll be real with you, the amount of supporters she has and the amount of backlash you got for your very rational video scares me. Morality is by all means not black and white. But the fact that this many people can't even admit what shallon does is wrong..not even a little is just scary.

  19. I have great respect for you because you talk about a lot of issues we have in our society , you good morals and values.

  20. Communication problems began when technology became more accessible to everyone and all we do is text and chat via phone, computer. So like imma say around 2012 honestly 🤷🏻‍♀️.

  21. And the reason we are bad at communication (in general) is because the best form of communication is non-verbal. Words are spells (why they call it spelling) so 99% of the bullshit that comes out of someone's mouth is rooted in bias towards fulfilling a need they have. That statistic is only 45% accurate, though.

  22. My son is emotionally sensitive. We couldn't finish Sonic movie in the theaters because he thought Sonic died… I am so glad you made that point because it just reaffirms to me not only my decision to home school, but my openness with him. I am always told how I let him "know too much" bc I speak to him as I would any adult and do not sugar coat things. These are the important discussions we need to have, thank you Pierre. <3

  23. i feel so blind bc i never even thought about the messed up things she has said before, for me it was in one ear and out the other and i was trying more to listen to the positive things she had to say about female celebrities that i wanted to be more like mentally when it came to not caring about what other people thought. but the rest of it, i thought all the bad stories were like an overdramatic comedy routine and not serious, how dense am i ;_; so i feel really disappointed. she doesn't care about uplifting other people, let alone other women. and i can't relate to her at all.

  24. Shallon is literally raising an army of abusers and narcissists just by her account, opinions and influence being out there for people to consume.

IF People COME to YOUR CHANNEL & Have ISSUES….. That's THEIR OWN SHIT THEY NEED to Work that Out… I just Fuckn LOVE How People come into SOMEONE ELSE Channel & TELLS/DEMANDS Them to DO THIS/SAY THIS/TALK LIKE THIS/WEAR THIS/LIKE THIS/ETC….. 👉🏻JUST👉🏻DO👉🏻YOU👈🏻👉🏻 SWEETHEART👈🏻👉🏻✌🏻👉🏻💌👈🏻👉🏻❤️👈🏻👉🏻🙋🏻‍♀️😍🥰😘

  26. Well said Pierre! Abuse is abuse regardless of sex. It comes in many forms and guises and what this woman is doing is so very harmful and damaging on many levels.

  27. This is exactly the reason why "meninist," no matter if some of them are legitimate and not just awful trolls, are never considered in the same space is because they mostly ONLY ever talk about male sexual victims IN OPPOSITION to female sexual victims. People are talking about a female rape victim? Meninist: "Well, what about men who get raped?" It's like. Yes, that is ALSO a problem. But this is not the space to do that??? Whenever someone makes a comment deflecting from the subject matter, it automatically spotlights to me that they don't actually care about those topics. Because if they did, they would create those conversations, and not just use them as tools to deflect from something else.

  28. I've experienced bullying troughout high-school from both boys and girls, so I completely understand you when you say these things are infuriating. Evil knows no gender.

  29. After watching this I became very said for Pierre, he seems deeply disappointed and saddened by this. I think its because she was recommended to all his viewers aswell. It happened to me and I watched one of her videos before this all blew up.
I just feel like this has chipped away, yet again, at his world view. Poor man x

  30. Pierre, I came across your channel today and so glad I did. You are so eloquent and articulate, keep up great work! I particularly like how you are able to criticise something without becoming offensive and mean. Going to binge watch your videos during quarantine. Thanks!
